Slow Download Nzbget5/3/2021
We will probably ask you to do a test using only basic settings.SABnzbd is showing download speeds of 26KBps whereas OzBroadband speedtest indicates download speed of 729 KBps.
Other internode users have speeds 700KBps or more through SANnzbd. Anyway: have you tried another download program (like NNTPgrab or NZBget), of course ceteris paribus so will all other parameters (NZB, newsserver, computer, connection etc) the same I wonder if that gives a higher speed. WiFi could really be an issue if so. 3 nzbget performance tuning articles. Unless Im misunderstanding Mb and MB, it seems I should be getting somewhere around 60 MBs speeds Is something wrong with my setup or are these speeds normal Edit: Im using Tweaknews and NewsDemon, though to be honest Im completely new to all of this and not sure if I set them up properly in NZBGet. I have my cipher set as blank at the moment Continue this thread level 1 5 points 1 year ago edited 1 year ago One megabyte is the same as eight megabits. Megabits per second (mbps) describes your connection speed, and megabytes (MB) refers to the size of a filestorage. Your provider likely tells you your speed in mbps, and your download client is likely telling you how fast you are transferring in MBs. And no worries, Im pretty new to this too:-) Someone with more experience can probably help you out with configuring NZBGet. I believe I have tweaknews set to 60 and NewsDemon to 20, though I cant verify at the moment. I get the best speeds with 30-40 connections to each provider I use. Make sure your incomplete downloads are going to SDD Make sure your completed files are also being unzipped on the SSD I discovered if I had NZBGet sending completed files to one of my slower drives (especially if it was set to process as the file downloads) the transfer speed to the slower drive was slowing everything down. My current solution is to have NZBGet download incomplete complete files to SSD, then I use Sonarr and Radarr to manage my TV and Movie downloads, with both of them set to point a video collections on my slow drives. Using Sonnar and Radarr to manage downloads, the files load up and process at max speed to my SSD, then the completed files are automatically transferred into an organized videos folder on my slower drives. Slow Nzbget Trial And ErrorHow can I determine how many connections to use Is it really just trial and error This is a great idea, though, so thank you for the suggestion. Slow Nzbget Full Speed WhenContinue this thread level 1 2 points 1 year ago Are you sure you get gigabit speeds when not using Usenet Like whats your full speed when you download a Linux distro with a torrent. If you max out doing that, try reducing the amount of connections like some of the others have said. To find your sweet spot with each provider start downloading a huge file, and start with one connection to each provider, pause and unpause while increasing each provider by one until you max out your download speed. When I was with newsdemon, I could easily hit over 100 MBs speeds in Sabnzbd with just 40 connections connected to their US servers. Im not on WiFi, Im using a wired ethernet connection directly to my router. It seems moving all my downloads and post processing has improved my speeds, but nothing close to 125MBs. WiFi could really be an issue if so.
